National guardsman Brian Bailey worked a a department supervisor at Home Depot and alleged as part of his lawsuit that when he took temporary leave to fulfill his military service obligations, his managers at Home Depot threatened to terminate his employment.
As part of the consent decree, Home Depot has agreed to pay Mr. Bailey $45,000 to settle the lawsuit and will also train managers regarding the rights of veterans in the workplace under USERRA.
